Alan had his first haircut today. He was adorable and perfect! Grammie and Grampy came for the event.

Postman Alan

One of the many gifts Alan got for Christmas from Grammie and Grampy was a Melissa and Doug mail box. As you can tell from the photo he might have a career as a mailman in his future.

On top of the world

Alan is quite a Daddy fan, it is so sweet. He runs to the door whenever Mike comes home and runs to the window to watch him drive away every morning. Favorite things to do with daddy are wrestle, tickle, snuggle, and ride in daddy's shoulders.

Little Fireman

I was craving a sub after Mass today so we stopped at Firehouse Subs on our way home. They had a stack of fire hats for kids so I grabbed on for Alan. He hates hats and refuses to wear them so I was pleasantly surprised when he took to his fire hat. I took tons if pictures of him playing with it but I could not get him to stand still for a single one.

Birthday Boy!

Alan celebrated his first birthday one month ago. I just can't believe he's one already!

We spent the day in beautiful Madison with Grammie, Aunt Devanie, cousins Jake and Lydi and their grandaddy. It was a beautiful (and hot) summer's day.

Chick Fil-A sponsored a kids concert and ice cream social which were both fun to attend. Alan also got to ride forward facing for the first time.

Here are some pictures of the concert, ice cream social, and AT enjoying his new pool once we got home.

Just like daddy

Alan is Mike's #1 fan and he just totally lights up when Mike walks in the room.

Little walker!

Alan has started taking his first steps and he's getting quite good at standing up on his own without pulling up on something. I'll post a video soon.

Grampy's #1 fan

From our visit Mother's Day weekend. Whenever I couldn't hold Alan standing up (but I told him I could hold him on my lap-he's getting so heavy), he would crawl over to Grampy and tattle on me and of course Grampy would hold him standing! It's really sweet though how he does love to be with Grampy.

Growing up

Alan is 10 months old today. Really, is that true?! I know that's still really young but it seems so old and it's gone so fast! I'm typing this on my phone as I watch him play with his duckies in his duck tub and all I can remember is the first time we tried this tub out. I had to hold him because he couldn't sit up yet but he'd outgrown his infant tub; he must have been about 3-4 months old. Now he's gabbing away playing with his ducks and pretty independent in his little tub (I am an arm's reach away). My! It's gone so fast!

Note: I started this yesterday when he was exactly 10 months and just finished it now!
